Yeah was just wondering if maybe we could have like relationship status, political status and more stuff to fill out in our profiles...just got the idea from facebook and I was bored so I thought I'd ask. latez
That sounds cool. Not sure the the political one would be good, but the relationship status one, and maybe a field for interests/hobbies, and an age combo box would be good to have. Of course, people could still choose whether or not to fill these out, but they'd still be good to have. For instance, people who are looking for a relationship would then know right away whether or not someone was or was not in a relationship, and the person who wanted to let others know about their relationship status could very easily do so. Also, the age combo box would be good in case a person didn't mind sharing their age but did not want to share their full birthdate. And the interests/hobbies box would obviously be filled out with one's interests/hobbies. We could of course still have the "tell us about yourself" field, but that could be used to go into specifics about yourself or your hobbies, or whatever else you want to say.
The speed at which certain people jump in and out of relationships here on the zone would cause them to be updating their profile every few days.
Seriously, I think political viewpoints and relationships, etc. should be stuff people include or choose not to include at the end when they talk about themselves.
I'm going to have to say no to this one. We already have the "Description" field, which is a catch-all for everything for which there is no field provided. Just use the Description field, and we can avoid more coding.
I think it's a good idea, and your suggestions for fields are good too.
Don't mind Becky she was just afraid that in the relationship field you wanted her to list the names of zoners she has had relations with.

Bob, use the Description field! It's that simple! We don't need more fields than we already have, seriously!
actually for doing searches and filters, it's not a bad idea. we've thought of it.

lol i thaught this idea went to hell long time agoe, but like yeah, take the fields from facebook, and people could choose to or not fill them out that's all..like hometown, political status, relationship status, just something i thaught would make profiles more interesting i guess dunno
or like myspace even, body type, drink/smoke, children, marriage, occupation, shit like that lol
I'd like it if they did the facebook stuff. it wouldn't be coppying because every social networking site has practiclly the same stuff across the board
